Behold, The Newest Trailer For INGRID GOES WEST
Disclosure: Tim League co-owns NEON and Birth.Movies.Death.
Heads up: a new trailer for Ingrid Goes West just landed. I'm going to stand back and just let it have its way with you.
Speaking entirely from the point of view of a dude who loves dark humor, misanthropy, and the always-great Aubrey Plaza: this movie looks right up my alley. Beautifully-shot, to boot! I am destined, apparently, to be the last person on the Birth.Movies.Death. staff to actually see this movie, but that's fine. My understanding is that it'll be worth the wait.
Here's a plot synopsis, in case you're not already sold:
"Following the death of her mother and a series of self-inflicted setbacks, young Ingrid Thorburn escapes a humdrum existence by moving out West to befriend her Instagram obsession, a Los Angeles socialite named Taylor Sloane. After a quick bond is forged between these unlikeliest of buddies, the facade begins to crack in both women's lives -- with comically malicious results."
"Comically malicious" is 100% my brand, so I'm gonna be there when Ingrid Goes West opens on August 11th. How about you folks?
