Track Listing Revealed For Junkie XL’s THE DARK TOWER Soundtrack

The man who gave MAD MAX: FURY ROAD its particular sound is taking us to Mid-World.

Warning: Potential spoilers for The Dark Tower to follow.

We've known for some time that Junkie XL (known in some nefarious circles as Tom Holkenborg, the madman who scored Mad Max: Fury Road) would be scoring Nikolaj Arcel's The Dark Tower, but since coming by that information we've heard very little else about the score. Tonight, we've learned quite a bit more.

The number of tracks, for instance (29), or the names of each. Be forewarned: these track titles are somewhat spoilery, so don't keep reading if you want to walk into The Dark Tower completely cold when it opens on August 4th.

Here they are, via Comic Book Movie:

1. The Dark Tower
2. The Face of My Father
3. I Kill With My Heart
4. Skin People
5. Getting a Toothbrush
6. Dutch Hill
7. Guardian
8. Arrival in Mid-World
9. His Shine Is Pure
10. The Map
12. Something Got Out
13. We Don’t Have Chicken
14. Manny Village
15. See Across Worlds

29. Roland of Eld (Main Titles)

Being as familiar as I am with this one, I can look through that lineup and confirm a lot of what I've heard or read, but some of you might be surprised at some of the references being made here ("Manny Village", for instance, is exactly what you think it is; so's the reference to someone's "Shine"). If you're so inclined, you can pre-order the soundtrack via the Amazon link below; it'll arrive on the same day The Dark Tower hits theaters.

In other news: I've got some pretty cool Dark Tower stuff on tap for you guys, but that'll have to wait until we get closer to the film's August 4th release date. In the meantime: you guys gonna pick up this score? I'm tempted to do it based solely on how much I loved XL's work on Fury Road, but I think I'm gonna wait until I've heard it in context before pulling the trigger. How 'bout you?
