WONDERSTRUCK Trailer: Todd Haynes Made A YA Movie And It’s Exactly What That Sounds Like

This just shot to the top of our most-anticipated list.

Director Todd Haynes' Wonderstruck hits theaters on October 20th, and it looks AMAZING.

From Poison to Velvet Goldmine to Far From Heaven to Carol, Haynes tends to fly under the radar as one of the most gifted visual stylists of our time, and it's always a pleasure to see him leave reality behind in new and different ways. Of course this looks fantastic, but it also looks fantastic. Here's the plot:

Based on Brian Selznick’s critically acclaimed novel, Ben and Rose are children from two different eras who secretly wish their lives were different. Ben longs for the father he has never known, while Rose dreams of a mysterious actress whose life she chronicles in a scrapbook. When Ben discovers a puzzling clue in his home and Rose reads an enticing headline in the newspaper, both children set out on quests to find what they are missing that unfold with mesmerizing symmetry.

We're in. We were always gonna be in, but that Langley Schools Music Project cover of "Space Oddity" locked it up for us. (Jason Gorber was less in.)
