SDCC 2017: Michelle Pfeiffer Is Janet Van Dyne In ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

Marvel's Hall H panel has just begun, but the one announcement a lot of us were waiting for has happened up front. We only caught a glimpse of the character in Ant-Man (that too behind a mask), but now it appears original Wasp Janet Van Dyne will be played by none other than former Catwoman Michelle Pfeiffer in next year's sequel. Wow!

Janet disappeared into the Small Zone- sorry [checks notes] the Microverse, but we'll probably see the original comic Avenger back in action where she belongs sooner rather than later. It was also revealed that Walton Goggins, who we already knew was on board, will play Sonny Burch (chairman of Cross Technologies) with Hannah John-Kamen revealed to be the villain Ghost, with The Matrix actor Laurence Fishburne hopping aboard as Dr. Bill Foster, a.k.a. Goliath a.k.a. Giant-Man. Will we see him in that form in this film? I sure hope so! 

Ant-Man and The Wasp arrives July 6th 2018, which by the look of it, isn't soon enough.
