SDCC 2017: AVENGERS ASSEMBLE Is Now AVENGERS: BLACK PANTHER QUEST

T'Challa steps into spotlight.

Avengers Assemble, Disney XD's animated MCU spin-off, has switched up its title a few times. In 2015 it was Avengers: Ultron Revolution, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars in 2016. Now, with the Black Panther movie on the horizon (check out Meredith's description of the Comic Con footage!), Marvel animation have decided to lean all the way in to Wakandan side of things.

Season 5 will be called Avengers: Black Panther Quest, and according to CBR, it sounds pretty interesting:

The Black Panther-centric story will focus on who he is, his relationships, and Wakanda. “Arguably, Black Panther is the greatest superhero of all,” Marvel Animation’s Stephen Wacker said. “This show will show the world what Black Panther is all about.”

A lot kids are going to know about Black Panther next year, and they'll probably want more of him after Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. That's a pretty exciting prospect, and seeing T'Challa and his world finally get their due in the cultural consciousness is really something.

Avengers: Black Panther Quest airs 2018.
