Turns Out, Lupita Nyong’o Infiltrated SDCC In Disguise

In which the STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS star sneaks into the gathering of the geeks.

The Birth.Movies.Death. team is still recuperating from our misadventures at this year's SDCC, where we experienced a number of amazing things: Steven Spielberg striding onto the Hall H stage, security guards transporting Xenomorph eggs around the convention center floor, bars selling Moscow Mules at the unforgivable price of $16...honestly, it was a whirlwind, and we're all still on the road to recovery.

One thing we didn't notice while storming around the SDCC floor: a sprightly Pink Ranger sporting a killer set of dance moves. Had we come across this SDCC attendee, we might've wondered who was behind the mask. 

Turns out, it was Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Lupita Nyong'o.

This happens every few years or so, and it's a goddamn delight every time. What a great sense of humor Nyong'o has, what a sense of adventure. We want to party with Lupita Nyong'o the next time she's in town, and we'd even be willing to put on Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers costumes to do it. Well done, madame.
