Mark your calendars guys, gals and nonbinary pals. That Wonder Woman sequel we all figured was happening is getting here sooner than expected.
Warner Bros. already had December 13th 2019 locked off for an untitled event film, and what better event title to fill that spot than the follow-up to the #2 domestic grosser of the year? The film also stands at less than $90,000,000 under Batman v Superman's global take, which it'll probably rival if not outshine once it's done with its theatrical run.
Enough about the brass, though: word has it talks with director Patty Jenkins are still ongoing, so you can expect confirmation of her return once her people (presumably) negotiate more creative freedom and a bigger payday. Jenkins is currently working on the script alongside DC's Geoff "Seriously, how does he do so many things at once?" Johns. \
The untitled Wonder Woman sequel (December 2019) joins Aquaman (December 2018) and Justice League (November 2017) as one of the only announced DC films with a firm release date. The breathing room is kind of relieving.
Stay tuned for more updates.
