Watch This History Of Onscreen Eclipses Before Staring Into The Sun Tomorrow

Relive these magical moments one last time, before burning out your retinas forever.

As you've almost certainly heard, we're going to experience a solar eclipse tomorrow.

It's been quite the topic of conversation over the weekend, with people either frantically warning others not to stare directly into the sun during the eclipse (note: if you're an adult who still needs to be told not to stare into the sun, well, good luck out there), bemoaning the estimated $700M in lost revenue the eclipse will cause (note: can we just let people experience something amazing for 20 minutes, dang), and others advising everyone to keep their dogs safe during this potentially-dangerous event.

It's been a real whirlwind, in other words, and it's likely to continue plugging right along right up until tomorrow's eclipse comes to an end, at which point we'll all shrug, say "That was pretty cool", and then go back to work/worrying about literally everything else going on in the world.

Anyway, while we're waiting on that to happen, the Alamo Drafthouse Video Department put together this exceptionally cool clip, one which walks us through the history of various eclipses as they've appeared on film and television over the years. It's a lot of fun, with a few surprising inclusions (betcha didn't think you'd see CSI: Miami make an appearance!), and we thought you'd all enjoy a peek at it before sizzling your eyeballs out tomorrow.
