Drew Goddard has been attached to and involved with many projects, but somehow he hasn’t directed a feature since 2012’s The Cabin in the Woods. That's messed up, folks. Luckily, this dry spell is about to end.
According to Empire, Goddard will next make Bad Times at the El Royale, a 1960s period piece in which a bunch of violent folks meet at a run-down hotel and… well I assume some bad stuff goes down.
It looks like Goddard is starting off with an impressive cast as both Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Bridges are in talks to star. Whether Bridges will be intelligible or not remains to be seen. What if, just to be cheeky, it’s Hemsworth who talks through a mouthful of marbles in this one?
Either way, I’m just excited to finally get another Goddard movie, and a violent one at that. What do you guys think?
