Rejoice: The First BRAWL IN CELL BLOCK 99 Trailer Has Arrived

Oh, yes. This looks right up our alley.

Heads up for all the Bone Tomahawk fans in the crowd: the very first trailer for S. Craig Zahler's Brawl In Cell Block 99 just landed, and it's a doozy. Allow me to get the hell out of its way before I catch a boot to the face.

Oh, yes. Brawl In Cell Block 99 looks like exactly the sort of grimy-ass, ultraviolent pulp the BMD staff tends to gravitate towards (someone needs to check on Jacob Knight; I have to assume that, wherever he's at, his head just exploded) and we cannot wait to get a look at this thing when it hits Fantastic Fest next month. We have a feeling this one's gonna play very well to that particular audience.

In case you're unclear on the plot, here's an official synopsis:

"A former boxer named Bradley loses his job as an auto mechanic, and his troubled marriage is about to expire. At this crossroads in his life, he feels that he has no better option than to work for an old buddy as a drug courier. This vocation improves his situation until the terrible day that he finds himself in a gunfight between a group of police officers and his own ruthless allies. When the smoke clears, Bradley is badly hurt and thrown in prison, where his enemies force him to commit acts of violence that turn the place into a savage battleground."

Brawl In Cell Block 99 hits Fantastic Fest next month, and gets a wide release on October 6th. You folks as hyped as we are?
