Trailer For REALIVE Brings A Frozen Dude Back To Life

The writer/director of ABRE LOS OJOS and THE SEA INSIDE is back with another brainmelter.

The first trailer for Mateo Gil's Realive just landed, and if you're not already excited it's probably because you've forgotten that Gil directed both The Sea Inside and Abre Los Ojos, two films we are definitely fans of here at Birth.Movies.Death. (some of us are even fans of Cameron Crowe's Abre Los Ojos remake, Vanilla Sky, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it).

Let's take a look!

Here's an official plot synopsis, straight from the press release and into your eyeballs:

"In REALIVE, Marc is diagnosed with a disease and is given a short time to live. Unable to accept his own end, he decides to freeze his body. Sixty years later, in the year 2084, he becomes the first cryogenically frozen man to be revived in history. Marc discovers a startling future, but the biggest surprise is that his past has accompanied him in unexpected ways."

This material definitely sounds within Gil's wheelhouse, and the trailer's pretty solid. We'll give this one a day in court when it lands on VOD and Digital HD on October 3, 2017. How 'bout you guys?
