Kristen Stewart May Be Searching For A Bosley In The New CHARLIE’S ANGELS
As we enter this new age of K-Stew, Tha Queen (whose shining King, Robert Pattinson, already delivered one of the finest performances of ’17 in Good Time), it feels safe to say that Twilight is well behind her. Kristen Stewart’s work with artists such as Olivier Assayas (Personal Shopper, Clouds of Sils Maria) and Kelly Reichardt (Certain Women) has proven that she’s one of the more formidable performers of her generation.
Which is why the actress reportedly eyeing Elizabeth Banks’ upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot is somewhat baffling. Sure, the paycheck should be great, but her days of larger level genre fare (as its been two years since American Ultra*, and five sice Breaking Dawn/Snow White and the Huntsman) have been replaced by intriguing indie work. Granted, she has the terrible sounding Underwater (where an earthquake devastates a group of researchers’ subaquatic laboratory) also coming up, so this type of junk certainly isn't beneath her.
What’s even more interesting is the rumor that Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave) is also looking to join up with Banks’ new iteration of the women’s detective agency. So, there must be something about David Auburn and Carlo Bernard’s script that’s calling their names. While we’ve already been treated to two terrible McG takes on the 70s TV show, it’d be neat if Banks could somehow mold these two into a pair of poppy female action heroes.
Nobody’s officially on board yet, but if they did sign, who would you want to see as the third Angel? And who would be your pick for a new Bosley?
Charlie’s Angels will be released June 7, 2019.
*The movie our own Siddhant Adlakha has gone on record as stating proves Stewart’s viability as an action lead.
