I, Tonya is an utter riot - a combination biopic/true crime shot in the arm dramedy that's going to make true believers out of Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl), who shows off such a dynamic display of filmmaking craft it'll make Martin Scorsese sit up in his seat (read Jason Gorber's TIFF review here). Margot Robbie is absolutely remarkable as Tonya Harding, the white trash princess who fought her way to figure skating glory, only to have her abusive husband (Sebastian Stan) fuck up her whole career with a plot against rival (and friend) Nancy Kerrigan. It's a "truth is stranger than fiction" romp that's going to blow you away.

We can't stress enough how jazzed we are about this movie (not to mention the performance Allison Janney gives as Harding's domineering mother). It's one of the very best pictures NEON has put out thus far, and when it hits select theaters December 8, 2017, we totally think you're going to agree.
