When Netflix announced that it's planning to drop 80 films in 2018, it's worth noting that the streaming giant's also looking to bring 30 anime titles into your living room, as well.
The first major release in that vein to be announced is Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters - the kaiju king's first-ever anime feature.
Set in the distant future, Planet of the Monsters revolves around the King of Monsters' stand against a band of humans, who return to Earth in hopes of reclaiming the lost planet from these massive, roving beasts. Now, we've got a new peek at the Netflix feature, which is slathered in eye-popping colors. Take a gander:
Not gonna lie, I'm all in until that goofy theme song drops, then the spot loses me a bit. Still, it's gonna be a hell of a lot of fun to watch the big lizard blow some shit up in the future.
Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters will open in Japanese theaters November 17th, 2017, and then Netflix will air the movie in 2018.
