New Trailer For THE LAST OF US PART II Is Super Bleak

Yeesh.

A new trailer for Naughty Dog's The Last Of Us Part II just debuted as part of a Sony presentation during Paris Games Week, and...hoo, boy, this thing does not pull any punches. Or hammer attacks. Or hangings.

The Last Of Us Part II is, of course, the sequel to Naughty Dog's The Last Of Us, which I'm surprised to realize came out all the way back in 2013 (it doesn't feel that long ago, does it?). We're not sure what to make of the characters showcased in the trailer above - there don't seem to be any familiar faces amongst this unfortunate crowd - but that seems secondary to how ugly and violent this footage is. I mean, The Last Of Us wasn't exactly a picnic, but...yikes.

As of now, no release date's been announced for The Last Of Us Part II, but considering what big fans we were of the first game, we'll definitely be keeping our ear to the ground to learn more. In the meantime: what do you folks think of the above? Too much? Just enough? Think Naughty Dog should've avoided a Last Of Us sequel altogether? Sound off in the comments below.
