Exclusive: Check Out All This Awesome Stuff Hitting MondoCon This Weekend
Disclosure: BMD and Mondo are owned by the Alamo Drafthouse.
This weekend, MondoCon returns to Austin with a brand new location and a slew of excellent panels, screenings and artists. It will also feature no shortage of excellent toys, collectibles, pins, vinyl releases, and - last, but certainly not least - posters. Oh, there will be posters.
Our friends at Mondo gave us an exclusive look at some of the stuff they'll be unveiling at MondoCon this weekend, and now we're thrilled to be passing those images along to you. Let's start with the posters!
Samurai Jack (Regular) by Methane Studios
Screenprinted Edition of 225 / 18"x24"
Printed by Henry and Co. / $45
Samurai Jack (Variant Edition) by Methane Studios
Screenprinted Edition of 125 / 18"x24"
Printed by Henry and Co. / $65
Hot Fuzz by Rich Kelly
Edition of 300 / 24"x36"
Printed by DL Screenprinting / $50
In addition to the posters above, the Mondo crew will also be releasing this brand-new Predator pin...
...as well as this mindblowing, MondoCon exclusive Cthulhu Tiki Mug, designed by the legendary William Stout (if that name doesn't ring a bell, check out my man's Wikipedia page). Mondo describes Stout's Cthulhu Tiki Mug thusly:
"Bring cosmic horror to your craft cocktails with everyone's favorite Old One, Cthulhu! The first in our series of mugs collaborating with our favorite artists, the Carafe of Cthulhu tiki mug was designed by renowned comic & concept artist William Stout. The MondoCon exclusive features a brown wiped glaze, giving the appearance of a sepia toned illustration. Holds approximately 16oz."
Oh, yes. That mug will be coming home with me this weekend.
Speaking of which: I'll be on the ground at MondoCon 2017 all weekend, and will have updates/coverage for you on both Saturday and Sunday, so if you can't be there yourself, follow me on Twitter and keep your eyes peeled here at BMD for more photos (and maybe an interview or two) than you can shake a stick at! It's gonna be an awesome weekend!
