Steven Soderbergh Secretly Shot A Horror Movie On His iPhone

So, here's some exciting news: apparently Steven Sodebergh shot a horror movie on his iPhone, and it's getting a wide release in theaters on March 23rd, 2018. Titled Unsane, the film stars Juno Temple, former SNL star Jay Pharoah, Claire Foy, Amy Irving and Aimee Mullins.

Aaand...that's about all we know at this point! Deadline, who broke the story, says that Soderbergh will be self-distributing the film through his Fingerprint Releasing via Bleecker Street, much like he did over the summer with Logan Lucky.

Worth pointing out: though it's an unusual method for shooting a film, Soderbergh won't be the first director to release a feature filmed on an iPhone. Sean Baker pulled off that particular trick back in 2015, with Tangerine. What a time to be alive.
