Behold, The First Footage Of Jeff Goldblum In JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM
The first full trailer for JA Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom arrives tomorrow, and to help herald its arrival, Universal has just unleashed several minutes of behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the film.
The footage features big-ass dinosaurs and Chris Pratt being charming and Bryce Dallas Howard talking about how scary the movie's going to be, but all you really want to know is if the clip below contains footage of Jeff Goldblum in-character as Ian Malcolm.
Yes. Yes, it does.
Y'know what? Some of this footage looks pretty strong! I'm into that creepy house (castle?) that opens the clip, I'm into that new dinosaur (whatever it may be) bursting out of that big sewer pipe, I'm honestly surprised by the number of practical effects this production seems to be working with, I'm into the fact that they apparently built what looks like an actual roller coaster to get one of their shots, and lord knows I'm always up for Jeff Goldblum popping in to charm the pants off a roomful of skeptical fuddy-duddies. Sure, this franchise's batting average suggests I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I gotta admit: a lot of what I'm seeing here works for me.
Tomorrow, we'll see a lot more when the full trailer arrives. We'll find out if the movie itself is any good when Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters on June 22nd. Y'all hyped or nah? Sound off in the comments below.
