Bryan Bertino's The Strangers has quietly become accepted as a mainstream horror classic, taking a rather routine home invasion template and producing a scare staple through attention to craft and iconography. He went the Carpenter route, and it paid off in the picture's favor.
Now, there's a sequel finally being put out - almost a decade after the original's release - and the poster is creepy as hell.
Take a look:
Written by Bryan Bertino and Ben Ketai, and directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down), The Strangers: Prey at Night stars Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison, and Lewis Pullman. Hopefully, this follow-up can tap into the same primal fear as the original when it hits theaters on March 9, 2018.
