Warner Bros. just unveiled a very brief teaser trailer for Gary Ross' Ocean's 8. It's largely unremarkable - a few lines of dialogue here, some quick looks at the cast there - but it does do something strange in its final moments.
Take a look, and be aware that we'll be getting into possible spoilers below.
At the very end of this teaser, there's a shot of Sandra Bullock's Debbie Ocean sitting at the grave of one...Danny Ocean? Here it is, in case you missed it the first time around:
Surely this shot was left in the trailer so we'd discover and discuss it, but our guess is that Danny Ocean isn't really dead. It's far more likely ya mans is up to his old tricks again (to what end, we do not know, but chances are it'll involve the heist being perpetrated by his sister and her colorful gang of lady criminals). Were Clooney really to have been killed off in between Ocean's Thirteen and Ocean's 8, we're guessing the reveal would be saved for the film.
Perhaps we'll learn more tomorrow, when the full Ocean's 8 trailer arrives. In the meantime, feel free to theorize what this might mean in the comments below, and be aware that Ocean's 8 arrives in theaters on June 8th, 2018.
