Today, the majority of the internet is celebrating the arrival of Black Mirror's fourth season on Netflix, and as well they should - new episodes of Charlie Brooker's modern-day take on The Twilight Zone are always worth celebrating.
The BMD crew will certainly be checking out those new episodes of Black Mirror over the weekend, but let the record show that this isn't the only new offering we're frothing at the mouth over: as it turns out, the sequel to Don Hertzfeldt's Oscar-nominated animated short, World Of Tomorrow, is also now available to rent via Vimeo.
Here's a trailer:
If you've already seen Hertzfeldt's World Of Tomorrow, you probably don't need to be pushed towards spending $5 on the sequel. On the off chance that you're new to all this, however, be aware that World Of Tomorrow is one of the best pieces of filmmaking of the past decade, something you need to see immediately if you haven't already (it's currently streaming on Netflix). It's weird and funny and heartbreaking and profound, and all signs point to World Of Tomorrow Episode Two: The Burden Of Other People's Thoughts being a worthy follow-up. This'll be the easiest five bucks any of us spend all week.
Have you seen World Of Tomorrow Episode Two already? Big fan of the first one and excited to hear Episode Two's now available? Sound off in the comments below. Everyone else: add this one to your itinerary over the weekend. It's highly unlikely you'll be disappointed.
