Here’s Our First Look At Zac Efron Playing Serial Killer Ted Bundy

No, not that photo. That one's from BAYWATCH. Click through for the Bundy action.

As you know, director Joe Berlinger's next project is a Ted Bundy biopic by the name of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, starring Zac Efron as the notorious killer. If you did not know that, now you do, and are free to do with this information as you so choose.

Us? We're excited about it. Efron's an inspired choice for Bundy - a killer known as much for his brutal crimes as his wholesome good looks - and Berlinger's a director whose work is always worth paying attention to.

And now, thanks to Instagram, we know what Efron will look like in the role.

Not to be outdone by her co-star, Lily Collins also posted the first photo of her in character as Liz Kloepfer, Bundy's long-term girlfriend (intriguingly enough, Berlinger's film will attempt to tell Bundy's tale from Kloepfer's point of view).

Well, they both certainly look the part, don't they? OK, fine, maybe Ted Bundy wasn't that ripped (seriously, does this production have a pit crew standing by to replace Efron's white undershirts as his arms burst through them or - ?), and yeah, maybe we aren't super familiar with what Liz Kloepfer looked like in real life and thus have no immediate basis for comparison to Collins' version, but still: these two look great, and we're eager to see them go toe-to-toe in Berlinger's film.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is in production as we speak, and we'll be keeping an eye out for updates.
