Last night, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler published an incredible thank you note aimed at everyone who helped turn Marvel's latest into a worldwide blockbuster.
The note quickly made the rounds on social media, so there's a good chance you've already seen it. But for everyone who doesn't live on Twitter, we thought this letter deserved to be shared again.
Check it out.
Good lord. What a mensch.
At the risk of sounding exceptionally hipster-ish, the BMD crew's been on the Coogler bandwagon for years now, ever since Fruitvale Station came along. Creed, a film most of the BMD staff would literally take a bullet for, further cemented our love for the guy. Black Panther may have cemented that status with the rest of the world.
It's legitimately awesome to see Coogler so moved by the outpouring of support Black Panther's received, and we wish nothing but the best for him in the future (although we really, really wish he were behind the camera for Creed II). At just 31 years old, it's clear this dude has a lot more to give us in the years ahead.
Bring it on, Coogler. We're rooting for you.
