Last week, we told you Danny Boyle is still very much interested in making Bond 25, pending approval of a script written by his buddy John Hodge. The two have an idea for the film, details of which are of course secret right now, and if everyone likes that idea in script form, they plan to start shooting at the end of this year.
That is all still the case. Except now Boyle himself is saying it:
“We are working on a script right now. And it all depends on that really. I am working on a Richard Curtis script at the moment. We hope to start shooting that in 6 or 7 weeks. Then Bond would be right at the end of the year. But we are working on them both right now.”
So there you go. If you don’t trust rumors, if you don’t trust The Daily Mail, you can at least trust Danny Boyle when he says he still might direct the next Bond. You can also trust me when I say I’m pretty pumped up about all this.
