The Final Season Of GAME OF THRONES Might Just Be One Long Battle Sequence
For many, Game of Thrones' final season is probably more highly anticipated than most motion pictures. If Assistant Director Jonathan Quinlan is to be believed (and why wouldn't he be?), there's going to be one hell of an epic battle contained in the series' home stretch.
According to Quinlan - who's served as an AD on over 15 episodes of the hit HBO fantasy melodrama - one skirmish in Season Eight took 55 days to shoot. To put that into perspective, Miguel Sapochnik's acclaimed "Battle of the Bastards" Episode from Season 6 only took 25 days to film. In two words: holy shit.
Check out this thank you note from the Producers Quinlan posted to Instagram (which has since been deleted). Thankfully, fan site Watchers On the Wall captured a screenshot of it:
تم الانتهاء من تصوير احد حلقات الموسم الثامن حيث نشر المخرج المساعد Jonathan Quinlan رساله شكر عبر حسابه يقول : " 55 ليلة متتالية. 11 اسبوع . 3 مواقع . لن ترى أبداً أي شيء يشبه ذلك"#قيم_اوف_ثرونز pic.twitter.com/USczdcvNid

Game of Thrones doesn't return until 2019, so we'll just have to wait and see how insane this bloodletting really is once it's beamed into our living rooms.
