Well, Bond fans, it's officially official: Danny Boyle will direct the next James Bond movie (the 25th, for those keeping score at home!), it begins shooting this December, and it'll hit US theaters next November. The 8th, to be precise.
Oh, and if you live in the UK, you'll see it two weeks earlier, on October 25th. Nice.
Of course there's virtually nothing else to report at this time. We know the script's been written by John Hodge, based on an original idea by Boyle. We know Daniel Craig's returning, almost certainly for the last time. We know that Annapurna and Universal have partnered up to release the film. Aaaand...that's about it.
In other words: the year-and-a-half long march towards James Bond 25 has officially begun, and we'll be keeping our ear to the ground for further updates along the way. For now, let's just celebrate the fact that Craig's coming back for one more go 'round (you didn't really want him to go out on Spectre, did you?), Boyle's on to direct (can you imagine how kinetic this shit is gonna be?), and maybe mourn the fact that our ol' pal (and Bond mega-nerd) Phil Nobile Jr. isn't here to celebrate along with us.
