You’re Gonna Need Stitches: SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO Trailer Is All Out War

Little reported fact: Sicario: Day of Soldado - the sequel to Denis Villeneuve's drug war masterpiece - is helmed by Stefano Sollima, who is the son of legendary Italian crime maestro Sergio Sollima (Revolver). Perhaps this helps explain the thick sheen of scum that's slathered over every frame of his upcoming movie, as it seems Stefano's following in his father's disreputable Eurocrime footsteps while helming this shoot 'em up follow-up.

It's no mystery that we're hyped as fuck to see Day of the Soldado here at BMD. Currently, my personal level of excitement hovers somewhere around Den of Thieves, but this latest trailer may have upped it to full-blown Day of Reckoning status.

There's a solid chance that I'm going to tear my seat out of the floor and hurl it across the room in celebration during one of those gun battles. Bring the sweet, sweet violence, Mr. Sollima.
