It’s rare to get truly surprised by a film, and yet M. Night Shyamalan - the guy most associated with big narrative twists and therefore the guy viewers have been most trained to try and outsmart - pulled it off with his brief Split epilogue that brought the film to the Unbreakable universe.
Now the promise of that shocker is coming to fruition with Glass, Shyamalan’s big pulpy crossover movie. Glass won’t come out until early next year, but we’re going to start hearing a lot more about it soon, beginning with the following poster:
I love it. I automatically want to know why Bruce Willis is the only one chained to the floor, and I also take one look at James McCoy and immediately get reminded of the silly glory of Split. It’s a great poster.
I am just so eager to see what kind of movie Glass will end up being. What tricks does Mr. Glass have up his sleeve? Will McAvoy be stuck in Beast mode the whole film? Will Bruce Willis give a real performance? Sadly, we’re going to have to wait to find out!
