We're really excited about Spider-Man: Far From Home 'round these parts.
Not only was Spider-Man: Homecoming the best Spidey film in many, many years, but Jon Watts' sequel will finally put noted Spider-Man villain Mysterio on the big screen (added bonus: they hired Jake Gyllenhaal to play the role). Add to that the return of Michael Keaton (reprising his role, to some degree, as the villainous Vulture) and Tom Holland (who, uh, hasn't been feeling so well lately, Mr. Stark) and you've got a sequel we cannot wait to learn more about.
Luckily, today brings a fun update on that front: according to Deadline, frequent Curb Your Enthusiasm MVP J.B. Smoove has just joined the Spider-Man: Far From Home cast. They're not saying who Smoove will be playing - just that he's a "lead" in the ensemble - but we're thrilled to learn he's going to be involved to any degree (studies have shown that adding J.B. Smoove to your production will raise the final product's overall user satisfaction rating by as much as 40%).
Beyond the above, we still know precious little about Spider-Man: Far From Home, though it's assumed the film will take place after the events of next year's Avengers: Infinity War sequel, for reasons that probably don't need to be explained here. Stay tuned for more on this one as further updates become available.
Spider-Man: Far From Home arrives on July 5th, 2019.
