This International ANNA & THE APOCALYPSE Trailer Is WAY Better Than The US One
Look, let's be real: the first trailer for Anna & The Apocalypse - a movie pretty much the whole team saw and loved at Fantastic Fest '17 - kinda sucked. You didn't really get to hear any of the horror musical's best songs, and it sort of just sold it as a Shaun of the Dead riff with Buffy-esque pop numbers (which, to be fair, it is). Honestly, I wouldn't want to be in charge of trying to sell this movie, but I'd also have the good sense to let this collective of charming kids shine.
Thankfully, there's a new UK spot for the film, and it's WAY BETTER than the US one Orion put out (and actually lets you hear some of the songs!). Heads up, it is Red Band - not egregiously bloody or anything (and there's no nudity), but I don't want you to get fired if your boss walks by and is in a bad mood:
Ah yeah, that's the movie I remember. I can't wait to revisit this one, as the cafeteria number ("Hollywood Ending") is such an utter joy to behold. Speaking of joys, check out this Shaun inspired poster:
Anna & The Apocalypse hits both UK cinemas and US theaters on November 30th. Be there and sing along with the end of the world.
