ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live is doing a string of shows in Brooklyn this week, and last night one of NYC's more famous residents swung by for an appearance: Tom Holland, star of the forthcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home and not, despite what some people would have you believe, the bellboy in Bad Times At The El Royale.
Holland appeared in a brief sketch featuring Kimmel and Jimmy Kimmel Live mainstay Guillermo, and his time onstage gave us our best look yet at Spider-Man: Far From Home's Spidey suit.
Here, take a look:
Look, I'm gonna be honest: I'm really, really bad at spotting the differences between one superhero costume and another. This is probably an area where you, the gentle Birth.Movies.Death. readership, will have the upper-hand. To me it looks slightly different than the one we saw in this year's Avengers: Infinity War, but I'd be hard-pressed to tell you how it's different, exactly. The chest logo's definitely been updated, right?
Anyway, all of this gives me yet another reason to express my excitement that Spider-Man: Far From Home will finally put Mysterio on the big screen (he's the Spider-Man villain I've been dying to see on film all my life), with the added bonus of the character being played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Some set photos featuring Gyllenhaal in his Mysterio costume made the rounds a week or two ago, but we didn't run them here because we didn't want to get sued off the face of the Earth. Soon as we've got something official to share, you'll see 'em on our front page.
Stay tuned for more on Spider-Man: Far From Home as further updates become available. Movie hits theaters on July 5th, 2019.
