As you know, Netflix is hard at work on a new series based on Andrzej Sapkowski's The Witcher novels (which, yes, were also turned into a series of Witcher games by the folks at CD Projekt Red). He looks ... well, he looks like The Witcher, alright!
As you can see, this is Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, the silver-haired monster hunter with a taste for adventure and bubble baths. The photo itself is super dark, though, isn't it? Let's see if we can't futz with the levels and get a better look at that outfit...
OK, well, now we can see that Geralt's rocking a ... what do we even call this? A "bolted leather tunic"? The fantasy genre really isn't my area of expertise, gang, I'm not sure what the correct terminology is here. Looks like an armored smock to me (that isn't a judgment call, by the way; it's just not the suit of armor some of us might have expected).
UPDATE: Hey, look, now there's video!

Anyhoo, here's an official logline, for those unfamiliar with the series:
"Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together."
Production on this one's about to get going in Hungary, so it'll probably be a while before The Witcher actually hits Netflix. We're super curious to learn more, though, and will be keeping our ear to the ground for further updates. While you're waiting on those to roll in: what do you think of Geralt's look? Sound off in the comments below.
