You already know his face, his stare, and his crisp, cutting voice. You should know his name - Lance Reddick - and you should also know that he's been cast in Legendary's Godzilla vs Kong.
Reddick will join director Adam Wingard (with whom he previously worked on The Guest), and a pretty astonishing cast including Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Julian Dennison, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir. I hear tell there will be some giant monsters in the mix, too.
Our guy is probably best-known for his role in The Wire, though at BMD we particularly savour his John Wick character (pictured), who according to science absolutely deserves his own series. And to video gamers, he should be familiar as Martin Hatch from Quantum Break, Sylens from Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Commander Zavala from Destiny. As much as I poke fun at his intense performance style (or rather, his intense characters - can't a casting director put this guy in something different?), Reddick's a terrific character actor who adds tremendous value to everything he's in, and he'll surely do the same here.
Meanwhile, Reddick will also appear in Angel Has Fallen opposite Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman. Additionally, his Amazon thriller Bosch coincidentally just got renewed for a sixth season, making this something of a double-whammy news post. Value for your click!
