According to Variety, noted MVP Jesse Plemons just joined the cast of Charlie Kaufman's I'm Thinking of Ending Things, an adaptation of the 2016 Ian Reid horror novel of the same name. Plemons joins the already-cast Brie Larson, who'll end up being the star of this show if the film's anything like the book.
That book, by the way - it's pretty good! The story's told from the point of view of a young woman (Larson) taking a road trip with her boyfriend (Plemons) to meet the latter's parents at their secluded farm. As per usual, things don't turn out as expected, and eventually Larson's character finds herself stranded out in the middle of nowhere, terrorized by a mysterious figure. If you think you've got it all figured out based on that plot description, well, you probably don't. There's a few twists and turns to this one! It'll be very interesting to see what Kaufman does with the material.
Anyhoo, we're big fans of both Larson and Plemons (to say nothing of our ongoing love for Charlie Kaufman), so we're very excited about this one. This being a Netflix production, we don't know much about when it's set to start filming or when it might arrive, but rest assured we'll keep you informed as further updates roll in.
Stay tuned, gang.
