Sounds Like Pixar’s ONWARD Will Star Chris Pratt And Tom Holland As Elf Brothers

Added bonus(es): Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Octavia Spencer are also in the cast.

So, here's something worth getting excited about: Pixar has another movie headed our way, and it's got one helluva cast attached! Here's the news, via the press release we just received in the Birth.Movies.Death. inbox:

"Pixar Animation Studios revealed today four members of its voice cast for its original new feature film Onward, including Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), Tom Holland (Spiderman: Homecoming), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) and Octavia Spencer (The Shape of Water). Directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae, the team behind 2013’s Monsters University, Onward is slated for theaters on March 6, 2020."

And what's it about?

"Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney•Pixar’s Onward introduces two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there."

So, we're guessing Tom Holland and Chris Pratt play the elf brothers? And Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Octavia Spencer will play the friends they make along the way? Sounds good to us. More often than not, Pixar's worth banking on, and with this creative team in place, we're feeling very good about that bet.

There's literally nothing else to report at this time beyond the title, logo, cast and synopsis, but rest assured we'll keep you informed as further updates roll in. With a March 6th, 2020 release date, Lord knows we've got plenty of time for all that. Stay tuned.
