The Monsters Get Their Close-Ups In Great New GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS Posters

Please, just give us this movie now.

Holy smokes, Godzilla: King of the Monsters looks incredible. After that wonderful poster and surprisingly generous trailer, I thought we were all done getting new things from the film for a while. Turns out that was not the case. Yesterday, director Mike Dougherty tweeted out three new posters for the film, each highlighting one of the three new (for this version of Godzilla, anyway) monsters:

Like I said when the trailer came out, I am so happy they are not trying to play coy with these designs. Too many movies do that lately. It’s nice they know we’re coming for the monsters only and seeing what they look like helps build that excitement.

Especially when they look this good. I’ve never been a big Rodan fan, but here he looks formidable and mean. Mothra’s beauty is kicked up a notch (I also love that she’s flying with the helicopters rather than attacking them). And Ghidorah is just classic. No reason to change perfection, just scale it up a little.

This movie is going to be amazing. Unfortunately, we have to wait all the way to the end of May to see it.
