Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Excellent THE BOUNCER Gets Its First Trailer

The Fantastic Fest favorite is coming out sooooooon.

For me, the greatest privilege of attending genre film festivals like Fantastic Fest and Fantasia Fest is the rare opportunities to see my favorite action stars on the big screen. It’s not like you can go to the multiplex and find Scott Adkins or Jean-Claude Van Damme movies playing. You always have to wait for them to hit VOD or RedBox.

This year at Fantastic Fest, I had the privilege of seeing JCVD’s latest, The Bouncer (also known as Lukas). I loved the film, but for those who want to make up their own minds, here is a trailer:

The Bouncer has some genuinely impressive action sequences, but if you can’t tell from the trailer - or the always positive sign that it’s not all in English - this is one of JCVD’s more dramatic roles. As I’ve been saying for years, he has the chops to pull stuff like this off now. The Bouncer is no exception. I highly recommend it to fans of the actor.

The good news is you’ll be able to get that chance soon. The Bouncer comes out on VOD on the 11th. Just a few days away. It’s eighty-two minutes of high quality JCVD, one of his best in years. Don’t miss it!
