For months now, the big question surrounding the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer has been: how do you market a Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland when everyone saw Tom Holland evaporate at the end of Avengers: Infinity War? Putting him back onscreen before the arrival of Avengers: Endgame would seem to spoil at least one of that film's "surprises", and Marvel's nothing if not tight-lipped when it comes to spoilers.
So, as you can see, they've kinda let the cat out of the bag here: Spider-Man's back, and so's Nick Fury. Of course, you knew this was probably going to be the case because you've been following along with our Spider-Man: Far From Home coverage, and knew both of these actors were in the movie. But for general audiences, we're guessing this'll be a mild surprise. Oh, well! Who cares about all that when you've got Jake Gyllenhaal in the Mysterio suit, looking absolutely badass?
Love it! We'd heard this trailer wouldn't feature Mysterio in his trademark fishbowl helmet, but it's definitely in there, in a few shots towards the end. Speaking as someone who's been waiting to see this particular villain brought to the big screen for many, many years, this is all extremely exciting.
Meanwhile, there's a new Spider-Man: Far From Home poster to look at.
There's lots and lots to discuss in this trailer, so hit the comments below and tell us what you think. Feeling Mysterio's look? How do you feel (if you feel anything at all!) about getting "spoiled" on at least two of Avengers: Endgame's surprises? Spot any easter eggs worth discussing? Let us know, and stay tuned for more on Spider-Man: Far From Home as we draw ever closer to the film's July 5th release date.
