Looks, we don’t know anything about what’s going to go down in Avengers: Endgame. We can guess, and we can certainly make assumptions. But at the end of the day, we all need to just cool it and wait for the film to come out before making any grand statements about the future.
Except Captain America is totally going to die. Natch.
With that in mind, it’s been cool watching Chris Evans explore a new future, starting with the pretty-much-already-legendary Rian Johnson film Knives Out. Now we learn Evans is teaming up with yet another director who is totally a cut above the normal Hollywood mold: Antoine Fuqua - yes, I’m very happy to die on this hill.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Evans has joined the film Infinite, which is about a bunch of badasses who get reincarnated over and over to fight some kind of overarching… actually the synopsis from THR is totally better than anything I’d come up with:
To defeat an evil mastermind who wants to destroy the planet, the group must rely on a man who suffers from schizophrenia and will have to learn that all his vivid dreams are actually memories from past lives, in order to defeat the villain.
No word on who Evans will be playing or really anything else about the film. That’s fine. We’ll just sit back and wait for this one to fill up with awesome people. In the meantime, this probably means no Equalizer 3 for a while. You take the bad with the good.
