Given my deep and enduring love for The Twilight Zone, the high I'm riding after catching Jordan Peele's Us in theaters twice last week, and my steadfast belief that the anthology format is the best format, you can imagine how insanely excited I am about CBS All Access' Twilight Zone reboot, which begins rolling out on that streaming service on April 1st. Every new piece of information, every new screencap, every new shred of footage gets me hyped. I am in the bag for this thing like you would not believe.
And just when I thought I couldn't be more excited, along comes a pair of episode trailers. Let's go through 'em one at a time.
As you can see, "The Comedian" finds Kumail Nanjiani's titular performer striking a dark deal with Tracy Morgan for fame and fortune. Given that this is The Twilight Zone, we're guessing that deal has a number of unintended consequences for poor Kumail.
Aaand here we have Adam Scott in "Nightmare at 30,000 Feet". Even casual Twilight Zone fans won't need to be told that this title is an explicit nod to a classic episode of Serling's series (y'know, one of the ones with William Shatner), but it appears this nightmare will be taking a slightly different approach.
Folks, our bodies are ready for The Twilight Zone reboot. We'll have episode coverage for you starting just as soon as those hit CBS All Access (also, if someone at CBS All Access would like to hook us up with review screeners, that'd be super swell; hit me up). Stay tuned, and be safe out there.
