Here's an interesting bit of casting news: according to The Hollywood Reporter, legendary character actor and national treasure William Sadler has signed on to reprise the role of Death in Bill & Ted Face The Music, the long-awaited and forthcoming sequel to 1991's Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.
As of this writing, there's no telling how Death might factor into Face The Music's storyline, but given the fact that both Kean Reeves and Alex Winter are much, much older than they were in 1991, we're guessing that an examination of Bill & Ted's mortality is probably in the cards, and what better character to help explore that theme than Death itself?
Side note: this whole project's pretty interesting, isn't it? Winter and Reeves have spent the past two decades expressing their interest in revisiting these characters, and after what feels like a bajillion false starts this movie actually appears to be happening. Recent conversations behind the scenes indicate that the BMD crew is united in what they do and don't want from this movie, but how about y'all?
Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for more on Bill & Ted Face The Music as further updates become available. As was recently revealed, the film will be in theaters on August 21st of next year.
