With Avengers: Endgame landing in theaters today, it's time for the Russo Bros. to start thinking about the future.
The directing duo - who may well end this summer with the biggest movie of all time on their resumes - have a number of projects in the works, but their first non-MCU jam will be here in just a matter of months. That'd be 21 Bridges, a Russos-produced action/crime thriller directed by Brian Kirk and starring Black Panther's Chadwick Boseman.
We caught the first trailer for this one back at CinemaCon earlier this month and thought it looked pretty badass. Today, STX has released that very same trailer, so the rest of you can make up your own minds about it. Take a look and see what you think:
Yup, we're into it. That cast (which, in addition to the perpetually-reliable Boseman, also includes Just Kidding Simmons, Sienna Miller, Taylor Kitsch and Keith David) is strong, the hook - which finds Boseman's detective shutting down Manhattan island in order to track down some crooks - is fun, and the action looks intense. This seems like a great way to kill two hours in a theater this summer.
Here's an official synopsis...
"21 BRIDGES follows an embattled NYPD detective (Chadwick Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 BRIDGES to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island."

What do y'all think? Feeling this one as much as we are? Not so much? You know what to do.
Stay tuned for more on 21 Bridges as we draw closer to the film's July 12th release date.
