Overlook Film Festival 2019 Lineup Includes THE DEAD DON’T DIE, THE LODGE, And More!

This year's gonna be killer.

Four days. Dozens of films. Tons of spooky (and immersive!) fun. The Overlook Film Festival returns to New Orleans for its 2019 edition – from May 30 to June 2 – and the lineup is pretty damn exceptional. This year's program includes the U.S. premiere of Jim Jarmusch's The Dead Don't Die, along with festival favorites like The Lodge (from the directors of Goodnight Mommy), Peter Strickland's In Fabric, and One Cut of the Dead, with special sneak preview screenings of Ma (one of BMD's most anticipated new horror movies) and James Wan's new Swamp Thing TV series. As with previous editions, the fest will play host to live podcast recordings — like Unspooled with Amy Nicholson and Paul Scheer — and thrilling immersive games and interactive presentations. Also of particular note in this year's lineup is Daniel Isn't Real, filmmaker Adam Egypt Mortimer's cerebral new horror flick starring Patrick Schwarzenegger, Miles Robbins, and Sasha Lane; new films from genre faves Larry Fessenden (Depraved) and Joe Begos (Bliss); the world premiere of Chelsea Stardust's Satanic Panic; and Nightmare Cinema, a horror anthology featuring contributions from Alejandro Brugués, Ryûhei Kitamura, David Slade, Joe Dante, and Mick Garris.
