Opening this weekend, Long Shot plays like a genderswapped Pretty Woman, with far less prostitution and a bit more global politics. It stars Charlize Theron as a brilliant but pragmatic Secretary of State who harbors presidential ambitions, as well as Seth Rogen as the kid she used to babysit, now grown into an idealistic speechwriter (and, yes, improbable love interest).
A couple of weeks back, we were given the opportunity to talk with Seth, Charlize, director Jonathan Levine (50/50), along with supporting cast members June Diane Raphael (How Did This Get Made) and Ravi Patel (Meet the Patels). Reckoning they were exhausted with all the “Tell me a funny story from the set!" questions, we decided to spend our time with them a bit more wisely: by having them play a slightly-less inappropriate version of "Fuck, Marry, Kill", using only former (and deceased) Secretaries of State.
It’s a segment we call "Wed, Bed, or Dead". Enjoy.
Our regards to the family of John Foster Dulles.
