The Final Season Of JESSICA JONES Hits Netflix Next Month

The Marvel/Netflix era is just about over.

Today, Netflix released the first teaser trailer for Jessica Jones (S3), alongside the news that the show's final batch of episodes will hit the streaming service on June 14th.

This is notable if you're still watching Jessica Jones, of course, but it's also notable for another reason: Jessica Jones S3 marks the end of Netflix's several-years-old relationship with Marvel. Going forward, you'll be getting all of your Marvel TV goodness from Disney+ (the forthcoming streaming service that's due to hit later this year). Until then, we've got this last season of Jessica Jones to look foward to.

So, how's the trailer? Brief!

So, not much to go on here! Looks like Krysten Ritter's titular detective will once again be mixing it up with a powerful psychopath, and...well, that's really about all we can glean from the above. Luckily, the folks at Deadline have a more specific plot synopsis for us:

"In the final season of Jessica Jones, about the New York City private detective with superhuman strength, Jessica (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, and she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down. But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both."

Where are y'all at on these Marvel/Netflix shows? Did you keep up with them? Which was your favorite? How do you feel about Jessica Jones ending? The bulk of the BMD crew stopped watching most of these shows a few years back, but it's clear that some degree of fanbase still exists for them. If you're among that fanbase, we're curious how you're dealing with the end of this particular era. Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for more on the future of Marvel TV as further updates become available.

Like it says up top, the final season of Jessica Jones will hit Netflix on June 14th.
