Here's a fun little update on Christopher Nolan's Tenet, a movie we know virtually nothing about: Himesh Patel, who headlined Danny Boyle's Yesterday earlier this year, has joined the cast in an unspecified role. He's joining an already-stacked cast which includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Kenneth Branagh.
Variety, who broke this story, says Patel "nabbed one of the last roles" in Nolan's film, which means we've probably got one or two more casting announcements to look forward to. Given that Tenet is already in production and speeding toward an already-established July 17th, 2020 release date, we imagine those announcements be made in short order. Unless, of course, this was the last role to be filled, in which case there will be no further announcements and Variety will be forced to shutter its doors in shame.
In other news: the Tenet teaser that rolled out with Hobbs & Shaw earlier this month has still not made its way online (in an official capacity, that is; leaked cell phone videos were a dime a dozen for a while there). Of course we're looking forward to sharing the real thing, and will have it in front of your eyeballs within minutes of Warner Bros. releasing it online. Stay tuned for that, and more on Tenet, as further updates become available.
