If you were at Fantastic Fest last year, you may have been lucky enough to see festival favorite One Cut of the Dead. Since then, anyone who did manage to catch a screening has been clamoring for more (We also might have been yelling about how great it is to anyone who would listen, which was only a little bit obnoxious since the film’s difficult to find in the US). That remained the case until Shudder announced they’d purchased streaming rights for the film back in April.
But as it turns out, our friends over at Shudder weren’t done giving us gifts: Today, Nerdist announced that the horror streaming service would also be bringing the film to theaters across the US! One Cut of the Dead will be headed to Drafthouse locations far and wide, but don’t worry if you don’t have one near you just yet. The movie will also head to a smattering of other theaters. You can check out the full list here.
Needless to say, this is incredibly exciting news. Our recommendation? Head to the theater with as little information as you can, and take as many of your friends as you can wrangle. This one’s best seen in a crowd.
