Late last night, Paramount dropped a brand-new trailer for Tim Miller's Terminator: Dark Fate. This was a curious move: our best look yet at a James Cameron-backed Terminator sequel starring Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger and an array of new VFX, and they're tossing it in our laps at midnight? Weird!
Now, in the cold light of day, it's time to take a look at that trailer and see what we think. Please do so now.
Well, it certainly looks like a Terminator movie! Everything's accounted for, from the catchphrases to the big-ass, chunky weaponry to the mound of crushed skulls laying in a godforsaken battlefield somewhere. Some of the action here looks pretty cool, but overall this trailer's not really setting our world on fire. Maybe that's franchise fatigue, maybe that's the tone, maybe it's just that we've seen many of these tricks before (worth noting: the Dark Fate footage we saw at CinemaCon was more exciting). But, hey, at least they got Linda Hamilton back, and she still appears ready and willing to kick much ass. That ain't nothing.
Terminator: Dark Fate hits theaters on November 1st. You excited for it or not? Sound off below.
