Today brings us a new poster for Cathy Yan's highly buzzed-about Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), starring Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina, Ella Jay Basco, and Ewan McGregor.
Please look upon said poster now:
I imagine this one-sheet will be somewhat controversial, in that it's very colorful, it doesn't openly cater to the dark-n-gritty crowd, and seems borderline silly. That said, I've heard a thing or two about Birds of Prey that lead me to believe that "colorful, fun and borderline silly" is precisely the movie that Cathy Yan has made, so this all feels very fitting. It's a good poster.
Here's an official synopsis, should you need one:
"After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord, Black Mask in Gotham City."
So. What do y'all think of the poster? Feeling it? Not so much? Are you excited for Birds of Prey? Sound off in the comments below and stay tuned for further updates on this one as we draw ever closer to the film's February 7th arrival in theaters. Who knows? Maybe we'll even get a for-real trailer soon.
