Well, the Snyder Cut is a thing now. We’re in that precious time where we all know it’s coming but no one can see it, which mean all those who campaigned for it can finally gloat without fear of reality. That includes Zack Snyder and this tweet:
He's coming... to HBO Max pic.twitter.com/tthWwAqzWp

I assume that is an image of Darkseid, DC’s general big bad. I have to take context’s word for it, however, because you can’t really see what’s going on there. The figure in the middle looks like a generic evil guy, and when you try to zoom in he turns into pixels.
It’s not exactly the best foot to lead with when generating excitement for your big film’s new visuals. And as a brag, it reads a bit as a self-own.
Having said all that, I just rewatched JUSTICE LEAGUE, and it’s not the worst thing in the world. Just because I am irritated by the Snyder Bros doesn’t mean I’m not super curious to see what he comes up with here. And of course, Darkseid will not look like a low-resolution photo on Twitter. But! I do think he will be a CG blob without character, and that bums me out. At least he’s played by an actor:
That said, and because I’ve been given permission...

Hi, I’m Ray. I played Darkseid in Zack Snyder’s “Justice League”.
There. It’s out now.
It’s going to be a lot of fun when we can all cuddle together as a united nation and watch this. Only like one year to go.
